Current Employee – been working at Life Technologies
Pros – Diverse work place, both in terms of educational and cultural backgrounds. Generally the right mix of a science oriented atmosphere, innovation, and process. This is a company that significantly contributes to advancement of our understanding of genetics and biotechnology.
Cons – After several mergers, the new leadership is ever-more distanced from employees, with an ever-decreasing understanding of the values that drives innovation and market position.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay more attention to fostering the innovative spirit. Restore the science symposium. Don't focus so much effort on nannying, telling employees to be more compliant - the ones that really need to listen are within the senior management itself.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
