    Pros

High energy environment. Personal initiative can result in lots of opportunities to manage projects. Everyone needs more help so its possible to take on as much as you want. Depending on your role, there can be good visibility with management.

    Cons

Due to inadequate resources in most groups, project are often done ad hoc with questionable results. Due to workload, people will often agree to be on a team, but not actually be able to execute on their committments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to set priorities and follow them. Do this at a senior level and encourage this practice through the company.
