I worked at Life Technologies full-time

Pros

LT deals in cutting-edge biotech systems, so there's always something new to learn, and opportunities to collaborate with people from all over the world.

Cons

The business is global so it never stops and I would often find myself on conference calls and handling emails outside of anything like business hours. Also, projects supporting stated strategies were not always sufficiently supported for good results.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be credible to employees, and follow through on stated strategies.

    Pros

Great coworkers, the management is responsive and helpful!
They are focused on safety and employee efficiency, Kaizen and safety initiatives are excellent.

    Cons

Manufacturing shifts were 5am to 33pm and 3pm to 130am. Sundays thru Wednesday or Wednesday thru Saturday.
Worked with plenty of very hazardous materials and it's tiring standing and moving for most of the shift.
