I have been working at Lifesize

Pros

Can take ownership of projects. Interesting products and technology. Laid back corporate culture with free snacks, private offices and good compensation.

Cons

Starting to get too many meetings. Too much blame shifting when things go wrong instead of just owning up and correcting the problem.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the sales team more accountable. Get our name and technology out there. Nobody knows who we are.

    I worked at Lifesize

    Pros

The best reasons are the talented, intelligent employees, the great products, and a dynamic environment with opportunity to work with cutting edge products. Also, located in a great building with perks (parking for ACL festival) and good benefits.

    Cons

There are many including weak, arrogant management more interested their own ego trips and making their next 5 million than in creating and maintaining an environment where all can succeed. Communication is difficult with management and between departments. Employee support from HR is all lip service and no action - highly ineffectual. There is little respect for individual contributor employees-both time and knowledge, lots of overtime while senior management leaves at 5

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be competent and care - dont pay lip service to being a "Best Place to Work" -actually walk the walk! Listen to the experts in each department. You hired them for their knowledge and then choose a solution contrary to their knowledge and advice and force them through intimidation to follow.

    I worked at Lifesize

    Pros

None what so ever, the company has lost its way, is removing anyone with any ideas that conflct with senior managements, they have just let their CMO and Evangelist go, and the sales organisation is packing its bags.

    Cons

Senior management has turned nasty and is routing out dissident voices, rather than listen to what those who actually speak to customers have to say and may have an idea on how to actually save the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Resign and allow someone with some new ideas take the helm of the ship. Seriously most of the executive team never leave the office to actually talk to real customers.
