I have been working at Lifetouch full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

ESOP best part of the job.

Cons

Work load is not doable. Territory office lost 4 sales reps in three years and two were not replaced.

Advice to Management

look at the territory, if you have a high turnover of key people that have been in the territory for 15+ there is a reason for the turnover.

I have been working at Lifetouch part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Training and experience in multiple realms including photography, sales, and receptionist duties. Good experience for aspiring photographers, or those in high school wanting to gain resume building material... But during busy seasons will make you start to hate your passion... Photography becomes a chore rather than creative...

    Cons

Management is sometimes WAY too obsessed with sales goals and averages that its intimidating to work there. The company constantly releases coupons and packages for really cheap and alot of customers really dont want to spend 230+ for a media bundle when they have in their mind to be spending very little with their coupon package... It makes the sales process annoying and a lot harder for the MINIMUM wage that most of the team members receive. THEY NEED TO NOT BOOK SESSIONS EVERY 10 MINUTES!!! BE REASONABLE! You cant photograph an infant session in under 10 minutes for quality portraiture. It just makes the whole experience for the employees and the models miserable and rushed.

    Advice to Management

    Please see cons.

I worked at Lifetouch full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work if you want to know the ins-and-outs of the running of a portrait studio. Also they give excellent photography training and sales training.

    Cons

Minimum wage job with not a lot of advancement opportunity. They hire ANYONE, you don't have to be a good employee with good social skills. My manager never showed up for work and billed the company for more than 40 hours a week... which means we the minimum wage employees were left to handle EVERYTHING.

    Advice to Management

Be more careful in the hiring process. Hire responsible people, maybe less teenagers and more working moms. I think you are a great company with fun competitions and incentives.
