I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

A great way to break into medical sales, Lincare looks great on resume, training is above average, form greAt relationships with the medical community

Cons

Compensation plan is below average, no bonuses or increase in pay etc ..., no upward mobility for sales focused, not much recognition for superb performance, micromanaged

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Turnover ratio with sales is extremely high... Give reps reason to stay with co... Bonus, upward growth, rewards, recognition. Update computer programs- less paper more productivity, utilize laptops like rest of industry, reevaulate pay structure every 2 years for each job function according to the area, form a held sales team in each region eliminate the responsibily held sales at centers who already have enough on their plate...

    Typically centers are short staffed. Too much repeating of work.

    I worked at Lincare Holdings full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Good location and salary incentives, their continued growth provides the opportunity to attract good talented people from other medium to large size.

    Cons

    The large amount of projects and responsibilities that new associates receive in such a small amount of time and the lack of mentoring from other staff equally busy makes it for an environment that makes it very difficult to succeed. Many staff gets fired continuously before their 3 month probationary period is completed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Promote from between the company and be honest when bringing in new staff so that they will know that they are expected to be productive immediately with little support or supervision.
