I worked at Linens 'n Things

    Pros

    1. They started me at $11 in hour. In 2008, that was incredible for retail! All I had to do is ring people up and sell credit card applications.
    2. I got along with all of the cashiers and most of Sales Associates. One member of Sales had some attitude, and another one seems to be chronically angry, but thats it.

    Cons

Why did LNT as a company have to go down? At the time I got hired, LNT was in the final stages of bankruptcy and closing stores starting from the West Coast all the way to the East Coast.

At the very moment I obtained this job, I lost it. Then I had to spend the next half a year helping the liquidator who bought the rights to the store (in effect, he is the new "boss") sell out the entire store and take it apart and close it.

We spent the next couple of months together pondering on which place we are going to move on to. In the small town that we lived in, finding employment is tough regardless of education level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Nowadays, Linens N Things was no more as a physical retail location. I am not sure what upper level management did wrong, but our local managers did have theories and rumors.

All I can say is, best of luck with your remaining online store.
