Lionbridge – “You're better off holding out for something better! Just Don't do it!”

This is a nice short-term place to be for college students who want to earn some extra money
Cons
No opportunity for advancement, inexperienced or incompetant leadership, rampant sex discrimination, low morale.
Only the "good ole" boys get hired on full time. If you're a woman - expect to work twice a hard as any one of your male colleages, and if you are DO get ahead, you'll be accused of "having done most of your work on your back!". Intelligent, hardworking women are a HUGE threat to this Draconian company! Promotions are secretly "promised" to certain people via the "good ole boy grapevine", yet they still like to see people "jump through hoops" and interview for these positions which are already promised to others.
Advice to Senior Management
You catch more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. If you want to retain good people, you need to treat them with respect, and provide them opportunities for professional development and advancement. (I'm talking money and benefits). I don't think you're interested in retaining good people. I think your myopic view is only the present bottom line. This company will die off eventually -- much like the Meisterburgers in "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".
