I have been working at Liquidity Services

Pros

Great work environment, technical field, growing business, lots of growth opportunities, casual attire and attitude. I have a short commute to and from work. The upper management is really in tune with all aspects of the business, and very flexible with capital. We are continually searching for new avenues of business, and delving into new areas of the market. There is absolutely a "no fear" attitude when it comes to taking on new projects or companies. This is a global business and we continue to grow by leaps and bounds.

Cons

The pay is not the greatest, but it is comparable to surrounding business.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work, keep gathering more and more business.

    Pros

A very strong hold on the niche wholesale and liquidation market. Fun biannual gatherings outside of the office. Many current career opportunities. Growing quickly on a global scale.

    Cons

Overall management practices cause the majority of employees to feel as though their tasks are irrelevant or cause a lack of positive motivation. Employees have learned that doing the bare minimum can keep them 'under the radar', so there is no reason to over-perform. Overall office moral is poor. Hours of unnecessary conference calls weekly. Rooted in legacy practices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Attempt to connect with your employees. Give them a reason to show up everyday. Give clear, solid direction and leadership without having to rely on intimidation to have your message heard.

I have been working at Liquidity Services

    Pros

Salary is competitive with other companies in this market. Business model is sound. Benefits are decent but not great. Oversight in some areas is negligible.

    Cons

The company is growing like crazy but management and technical employees don't seem to have the talent or knowledge to bring all departments together leading to isolation and infighting. Lots of politics and squabbling between departments. There is a disconnect between management and worker bees. The lack of clear direction and organization puts a strain on most employees.
