Pros

The peers you work with are all great - at least on the software side. It's a rarity, but every programmer here is someone I respect and get along with. The work schedule is extremely flexible, as is location. There's a lot of trust that developers will get things done, and that in turn seems to bring out the best in a great many of them.

Cons

It's a daily deals company, which isn't that glamorous of a change the world proposition, but there are definitely efforts being made to build tools to really help small businesses succeed, and not just offer coupon-like deals.

Sometimes things seem a little disorganized with so many people working on so many different things, so you have to be very proactive in figuring out who can help you solve your problems, but overall I greatly prefer that to someplace that has a rigid org chart and forces you to ask permission before getting even small decisions made.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Take a real hard look at who you put in charge, sometimes seniority or previous experience does not make a good manager/project leader
