    I worked at LivingSocial full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    * Relaxed work culture
    * Strong tools and resources for personal growth
    * Fun intramural programs and events
    * Free snacks, soda and beer

    Cons

    * Messy HR processes
    * Leadership is very removed
    * Although you may have a great relationship with your direct manager; directors and VPs are not accessible nor transparent about topics regarding the company's growth/ lack there of
    * Poor business model. The promotion of idealistic tasks subtract from the bottom line.
    * No clear marketing plans for special projects
    * Too much of a lean towards the "look and feel" of the product rather than simply scaling production * Premature programs that did host talents from the appropriate fields. Making new product growth clumsy and void of intuition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Embrace the basics. Also, if you are going to promote an "all-inclusive" work environment find ways to better connect with your employees beyond the occasional event.
