Pros

Its a new way to bring merchants and buyers together and sales team is great at showing how merchants can have long term success if done right.

Cons

Management does not always seek insight from sales team - the ones doing the job - before changing or adding something.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some ideas from the people on the street, your sales reps.

    I worked at LivingSocial full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Work from home, flexible schedule, great benefits.

    Cons

    Horrible training, unrealistic goals, low pay. They get you excited about the company saying its a 1-2 call close when really it's more like a 10 call close. Run not walk from working here! If you want to consistently close 18 accounts a month, then this job is for you! No growth opportunity either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire managers that actually sold the product not a bunch of cheerleaders that have no idea!

    I worked at LivingSocial full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    In the beginning this was an excellent place to work and contribute to the growth of the company. Each department possessed a wealth of talent and the culture of the organization was outstanding. LivingSocial offered an outstanding compensation package as well.

    Cons

    Favoritism, unqualified managers, lack of diversity, lack of vision from the CEO, and unable to evolve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Find ways to better connect with your employees, get rid of the frat house mentality, and hire credible managers and executives that can actually steer the company towards profitability.
