Pros

Great Product. Great Staff. Great subscribers.

Cons

Top level people are clueless. Too many changes. Bad Q3 incentive plan. Goals are still out of whack for some. Target marketing cannot be applied in this industry

Advice to Management

If you have to change something every quarter you didn't higher the right person to make that decision in the first place. Making changes is fine but when you do it commit to it. DQP still needs to go. Let employees make you money. Stop preventing this from happening. Inside sales needs to go. They don't make you any money.

    Pros

    - Great co-workers. Some of the best people I ever worked with. - Office HQ was really one of a kind, for the east coast at least. - A business model you could truly get behind, and feel easy when pitching to interviewees. - Want to try something? Go ahead. Ok to fail, just figure it out fast, so you get to invent. - Really good IT support team. Cant state how critical this was some days. - They really have gotten better when they need to cut staff. Not an easy thing to do, and they have better planning around it than 2 years ago.

    Cons

    - No idea where they are headed. It's OK to be #2 if you can make $$ - Held onto the "anti-Groupon" mentality way too long. - Way too focused on bottom line, and profitability month to month and week to week. It's a distraction - Lots of cronyism. Definitely some people who don't belong in their roles, but have been there since the "old days".

    Advice to Management

Might be time to sell, and be honest with longer tenured employees who think they will be getting a payout if/when the company is sold. Most are not in a position to get any big chunk. Pick a direction and go at it relentlessly. Constant pivoting is a fact of life, but not a solid business strategy. Get Execs some very senior help, they need it.

  2. Great Culture, Terrible Management

    Pros

Casual work attire, great people, free refreshments and snacks, company happy hours

    Cons

Constant change in commission structure, poor upper management, terrible starting salary

    Advice to Management

Just because you came from Yellowpages, doesn't mean the business runs the same way...too bad this company had so much potential and it won't even be around by 2014
