A new sales incentive plan was recently rolled out to Canadian and US Sales staff. It has been well received and addresses "no commission unless reaching the 100% goal" issue.

I have been working at Livingston International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of system problems so there is room to re-engineer processes and improve things, for those who like doing that

    Cons

No clear corporate focus, private equity owned and they have their own agenda. Salaries are low, systems are bad, long hours, regular employees not motivated

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Livingston International full-time

    Pros

Lots of training and more opportunities to learn about the international trade and customs brokerage industries throughout one's employment.
Decent health and medical benefits, and a decent 401k option.
Management is hit-or-miss. Some supervisors and managers are well-liked, other employees despise their supervisors and managers. This reviewer was lucky with their assigned team, however, as far as leadership goes.

    Cons

Lots of IT issues. So many, in fact, that productivity is often negatively impacted, which looks bad to clients.
    Slight disorganization in management.
Office atmosphere is oftentimes droll and lackluster. There is a general feel of boredom from the staff, probably due to repetitive tasks and a lack of enthusiasm for the work--if working at the entry level.
High employee turnover rate. This does, however, mean that there are often chances for advancement within the company. Though one should keep in mind that a promotion might not always go to the best-qualified employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out what's wrong with the IT and fix it.
Make the employees feel more appreciated.
Try to liven up the offices.
    Give better benefits and raises.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
