A new sales incentive plan was recently rolled out to Canadian and US Sales staff. It has been well received and addresses "no commission unless reaching the 100% goal" issue.

    Pros

Lots of system problems so there is room to re-engineer processes and improve things, for those who like doing that

    Cons

No clear corporate focus, private equity owned and they have their own agenda. Salaries are low, systems are bad, long hours, regular employees not motivated

    Pros

+Good experience/exposure to international trade which can help you get a better job.
+My co-workers were great. That's the one thing I really miss.
    +Great 401(k) offering.
+Training was good. They didn't just plop you down in front of a computer and expect you to know everything. They took time to train people, which I appreciated.
+Great for college grads and people looking to get into the International Trade industry. They should work at Livingston for a few months to get the exposure to the industry, and then start looking elsewhere for new opportunities (which is exactly what I did).

    Cons

-Management is in meetings all day and it felt like you could never have one on one time with them because they were running from meeting to meeting ALL DAY.
-Micromanages every aspect of the team's work.
-We had mandatory daily stand up team meetings that would last up to 40 minutes that were a complete waste of time when we had time critical assignments to complete.
    -Lots of favoritism.
    -Pay is meh.
    -Medical benefits aren't very good.
    -HIGH turnover rate.
-No real career growth. This is a stepping stone to help you along to another -better- job.

    Advice to Management

Chill out on so many meetings, and realize why there is such a high turn over & fix it!
