Seems like a typical slightly old-fashioned, stuffy corporate environment

I have been working at Lloyds Banking Group full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Good work/life balance (for most people at least), generous support for professional qualifications. Very positive aspirations, currently successful and on an upward trajectory. The "nice" bank which actually purports to genuinely care about its customers, and also currently the most profitable bank in the UK.

Cons

Poor or inexistent in-house training, excessively hierarchical atmosphere, highly bureaucratic and process-driven approach, opaque performance management and career progression

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove some layers, change the culture from one where senior people only seem to talk to their superiors and "direct reports" (an ugly phrase), and give people the opportunity to prove themselves and progress

Positive Outlook
Approves of CEO

    I have been working at Lloyds Banking Group full-time

    Pros

    There are still colleagues who do their best in a very challenging environment

    Cons

    Attitude of staff has changed substantially making it difficult to get things done;
    Lack of clear structure to career path and lack or rewards

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please think restructures through more before implementing them to avoid more restructures shortly after and communication to lower level of staff should be improved
