Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Loblaw

    Pros

    Great HO building
Great caf food at good prices
Never a boring moment in the building with lots going on
    Great people and friends
Always new and exciting projects to work on

    Cons

    Long hrs
    unsatisfactory career advancement opportunities
yes the change is necessary (maybe not at the rate of lobalw) however when moving people around no consideration is given for employees career goals and aspiration. Seems to be very random decisions in moving names into new box. No proper talent mapping exercise is done. Some of the executives are rude and incompetent, the good executives get lost and not valued. Boys club and favouritism. With a new strategy in place, the company doesn't give it enough time to see how it will turn out, direction and strategy changes constantly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication
concentrate on the big pict, have a strategy in place and let it take its path before changing it again (to see the benefits and opportunities to make better strategy/decision)

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO
