I have been working at Loblaw

Pros

I work for the Mobile Shop which is owned in part by Loblaws. It is a decent place to work and better than its competitors (Best Buy Mobile, Wireless Wave)

Cons

Since it is a small company, chances for rising up the ladder are not as frequent as I would like them to be. Also, their selections for phones from some companies is average at best.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on training the right people to lead each respective and individual Mobile Shop. The manager should be the most competent employee at each kiosk.

I have been working at Loblaw

    Pros

Loblaw provides a wonderful opportunity for job growth and on-the-job learning to its employees which, in turn, creates loyalty and a great sense of pride.

    Cons

One of the challenges at working for Loblaw would be the number of managers and decision makers that expect their visions and ideas to be implemented above and beyond those from their peers. The large number of visions can create tensions whereby it is difficult to appease all visions simultaneously.
