I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time

Pros

Off-fridays is a big perk

Cons

It's got kind of a "stuffy" culture of a 100 year old company. Not too much "young blood". There's a lot of red tape and beaurocracy. Hard to get promotions/bonuses.

I worked at Lockheed Martin (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good salary and have some good people but disrespect the customer.

    Cons

the management staff is very politically appointed and eat thier young poor understanding of what works technically. My department manager position had a 320% turnover .With so many political officiers it is difficult to explain complex engineering rational to them. Management has a penchant of Promoting of people who have become insiders to position well above thiere abilities because they offer solution that will cut costs ant the expense of good engineering only to the insult to the customer
The manager took away my portable and gave me a PC in the middle of an bid and proposal work carried out in another building Talk about design to fail functions of management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It seems that a company that knows the numbers can not identify issues in it s promotion to manamgent and senior management Its easy follow your own rule look for high turnover ,rejected work not just the lowest cost.basis Cost go down when you get right the firstime

    Negative Outlook
