Former Employee - Embedded Software Engineer
Former Employee - Embedded Software Engineer

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

I really enjoyed working with my co-workers. I would be happy to work with them again. I see that LM is moving towards a more diverse customer base, this should keep it gooding well into the future.

Cons

As with all large companies the bureaucracy is a pain. The size of the company can make it difficult to see how you contribute to the bottom line.

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

An opportunity to learn and grow with this dynamic company and I worked in a team environment.

    Cons

The facility was very old at the Donaldson Center in Greenville, SC and was in dire need of upgrades to some of the buildings that were built over old (non-operational) underground military bunkers that were infested with roaches and rodents which came into the hangars and buildings daily at an alarming numbers and can be a health hazard for the employees as well as the on-going mold problems in the air duct systems in some of the office areas (in particular, Hangar 4) this caused respiratory issues and/or cold like symptoms for fellow employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take into consideration the condition of the leased property before resigning your lease and negotiate accordingly.
