I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay is good. At the time I was hired, there was still a defined benefit (pension) plan. No longer available for new hires.
Flextime - Seems mgmt is genuinely concerned w/home-work life balance

    Cons

Little or no chance of advancement after you hit a certain tier (level 3).
Too many mgmt levels between Individual contributors and those that make promotion decsions (first lines don't have much impact on those decsions).
Defense Industry - It appears to be lean times ahead. We are doing more with less and it seems (at least in MST) our ranks are shrinking.
Too much time and $$ is spent on the PR aspects of "Inclusion, Diversity etc...). Policies are in place to make this a good work environment, but it seems that they advertise to appease the "PC" media and outside interests, when it really is not needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the PROGRAM Management more regarding layoff decsions

    Recommends
    Negative Outlook
