Good company, but is slow to adapt and make good changes.

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee)

ProsBenefits were good (not great).
Hours were good depending on the project.
Many good job opportunities within the company especially if you wanted to travel.
To keep costs down, company encourages good health practices.
Good amount of vacation with emphasis to take the vacation for work/life balance.
Company has values most people will agree with.

ConsStuck in some of the old ways of doing things. LM is a big company, and it is hard to get meaningful change within the corporation - mostly due to the nature of the type of work that has to be done for their customers.
Leadership keeps changing organization and realigning departments, but it doesn't do anything other than confuse the workers.
Cost of healthcare benefits continue to rise. Raises did not cover the difference in health care costs.
Going through a rough spot and not afraid to let good people go.
Has very interesting work or very plain, grunt work. It is up to the individual to seek out their career path.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
