    Pros

Flexible schedule, variety of opportunities, online training system, free cisco test vouchers, free access to safari books and books 24x7, intramural sports and recreation.

    Cons

Lots of middle management, many opportunities are in Washington dc, grooming employees to be less technical, work is linked directly to contracts

    Advice to Management

Build products that lockheed can sell as their own rather than the government owning the IP and get away from work directly linked to products.

  2. I had a good experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer contractor for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

I worked at Lockheed Martin as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of experienced people willing to help out if needed. The nine-eighty schedule is great because you get every other Friday off.

    Cons

Contractors are only allowed to be there fifteen months maximum. Internal job postings are not able to be viewed by contractors, otherwise there isn't much difference.

    Advice to Management

Change the company policy limiting the length of time that contractors can be employed by making them sign a contract that they can never sue the company for benefits.
