They never forget who they are working for, but they don't care about those that work for them.

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Great experience. Diverse work.

Cons

No training budget... Ever. You are a number. Layoffs come around and if you are not the managements favorite or you work at a satellite location you have a good chance of being unemployed.

    Pros

pay and benefits are above average

    Cons

On a Bell curve rating system, someone has to be number 1 and someone has to be on the bottom no matter how productive you are.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit catering to the young engineers, they are mature enough to handle minimal pressure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Before making a huge company move such as transferring a service we currently perform to a 3rd party organization, consult with employees who preform the manual labor directly tied to the service prior to deciding a move that can cost the company money in the future. Ask the employees about the challenges and successes and why they do it prior to transferring their jobs to another organization.
