    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Before making a huge company move such as transferring a service we currently perform to a 3rd party organization, consult with employees who preform the manual labor directly tied to the service prior to deciding a move that can cost the company money in the future. Ask the employees about the challenges and successes and why they do it prior to transferring their jobs to another organization.

I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Diverse portfolio offers many opportunities.
A mixture of experiences in the workforce.

    Cons

If you're not at one of the big sites, you run the risk of being overlooked.
Company has moved towards a market-result focus, often leading to hasty business decisions that bypass small opportunities; gamble big vs gamble small.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Return to the policies of Bob Stephens who said "his job was to support the workers to be successful" instead of the current approach of workers are expendable to meet the bottom-line or perceived bottom-line.
Get with the changing generation demographics and offer more flexible work opportunities - they do exist in the corporation, but are not promoted or encouraged.
