Pros

Not a bad place to work. Decent pay. Ok benefits (not great). Culture is bureaucratic. Good place to start a career.

Cons

Lower pay and benefits in services business. Training and development opportunities have become more limited with recent budget cuts and and cost savings initiatives.

Advice to Management

Lockheed Martin spends millions each quarter to fund pension obligations. Newer employees don't get the pension and should instead receive profit sharing or some other benefit. Otherwise, they are just subsidizing the pension for employees and retirees who have the pension.

    Pros

Good company to join if you want to move around company wide because they are a huge global company

    Cons

Lockheed Martin Space Operations in Houston is way to top heavy, meaning they have way too many managers and leads, very bad managers and leads at that. They also make you donate 5 hours before you can earn OT (so you don't earn OT until you work over 45 hours).

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Too many managers play favorites, it's a bad sign that a hiring manager hires only cute young females from his alma mater. Leads and managers shouldn't be made leads just because they've been there forever.

    Pros

Established in the Space Industry. Flexible schedules. Great emphasis on health and benefits are comparable.

    Cons

Not much information on job opportunities, old school attitude, don't like change in process, Management not very employee oriented.

    Advice to Management

Change management that can can not work well with employees. There was too much emphasis in the status quo. More clarity could be brought towards job opportunities.
