I worked at Lockheed Martin as an intern for less than a year

Pros

Get to telework from home four days a week. Manager helps explain all the acronyms and settles down. Overall everyone was friendly.

Cons

Not enough work to do at times. Work was not terribly challenging. Team feels somewhat disconnected. No holiday or sick leave accumulation as an intern.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Interns need more work to do!

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good job security and fair compensation compared to competition.

    Cons

Very corporate. I did not feel important to the company at large, and never came in contact with top execs. There is ~8 levels of separation from the lowest employee to the top.

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The atmosphere of working for this company is very professional and a textbook Corporate environment. Pay was equal to job description.

    Cons

The company is more interested in pennies than people. You are part of a greater machine bit that will cost you a sense of individuality and creativity that makes a good job a great career. Promotion and recognition are difficult to achieve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember your employees may have been chosen to work for your company but YOU have to make them choose to STAY. There is more to a successful company than the profit margin, especially as the company can only really succeed if the employees are fully invested also.
