I have been working at LodgeNet

    Pros

The company provides a work van and allows the technicians to take the van home. This saves on fuel expenses for the technician. There is a good amount of freedom provided to the technicians to allow them to prioritize the work that needs to be performed. The working conditions are generally clean and the atmosphere is positive.

    Cons

The yearly raises are only 2 to 2.5% per year. The cost of living goes up by 4 to 4.5% annually. This means that after 10 years of service an employee will actually be 20% poorer than when he/she started. When a technician is promoted from FSR1 to FSR2 or FSR2 to FSR3 there is no pay raise. There is no room for advancement. The technicians that are working in the field either have been or will be working the same routes in 10 to 20 years. Along the way more workload is added and there is no fiscal compensation. For the degree of technical expertise that is required to perform the job the compensation is below the lowest amount in a comparable range for other companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your most valuable asset...your employees. Provide them with compensation with which their lives may flourish.

    I worked at LodgeNet full-time

    Pros

They launched a mobile app that is good.

    Cons

They have no vision. They make their money on in hotel room movie rentals including porn. Apparently nobody over there ever heard of the internet!!! Their revenus keep falling and they have no idea how to fix it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to work together will all departments. Everyone cares only for themselves and no one sees the big picture. Management need to get their hands dirty and some actual work instead of sitting behind their desk on internal BS Calls.
