I worked at LogMeIn as a contractor for less than a year

Pros

Great people, fun environment, great location just next to South Station

Cons

Contract work, never would give straight answers on possibility to work there full time.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set a guideline to become full time if continuing down road of temp to perm work, will motivate workers better.

    I have been working at LogMeIn

    Pros

    Nice office
    Free snacks and beverages
    Company trips annually
    Plenty of collaboration space/conference rooms

    Cons

    Teams are silo'd off per floor for the most part.
    South Boston location makes it hard for north shore and north-of-Boston commuters
    Management tends to have tunnel vision, not good for fostering innovation outside R&D teams dedicated to doing that innovation.
    Semi-annual reviews seem to be an after-thought, nothing really happens with them unless there are negative points to "work on".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on employee strengths and exploit those, not coaching on weaknesses.
    Provide more cross-team opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and socialize beyond the obligatory monthly meetings.
    Do a better job on advertising internal career opportunities before soliciting outside recruiting and hiring.

    I have been working at LogMeIn as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

    If you live for your breaks this is the place to work. Fooseball tables, pool tables, free snacks and soda. Thats about all you will get out of the glamorized call center.

    Cons

    Sitting through the week long training session where you watch them go over their software. This is the most boring process ever. Don't waste your time.
