    Pros

    International company, opportunities for growth, friendly clean work environment, clearly articulated roles and responsibilities, cutting edge technology, and good benefits.

    Cons

    Poor (at the time) executive management, so hungry for work that the company was willing to chase any lead instead of refine a niche, local competitors include much larger and well funded businesses including IBM and Accenture

    A competent CEO would do wonders for the business, spend more time walking the halls of the organization to get a better feel of the pulse of the employees.

    Pros

    Logica has a very positive global brand and has an extensive and impressive history in developing innovative and cutting-edge ideas. Andy Green has done an amazing job in turning around the company and focusing its energies on core strengths.

    Cons

    The US has a lack of focus and being that it is a Europe-centric company, does not get the attention and resources it needs to thrive here. US management has also been very unstable and it is hard to see a clear vision from the leadership team in growing the US market and tactically how to get there. Lastly, there needs to be less fear of risk and a greater emphasis on crafting creative solutions for customers. Cookie-cutter outsourcing iservices s not a good long-term strategy and is simply commodity business that other firms have already mined with more success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    For the US, do not just swallow vision from corporate, but build up a strong niche business in the US. Support your staff more and provide regular, honest, and constructive feedback. Give employees time to develop business and services; do not to grow impatient with the pace of results. And most importantly, been stability to the management ranks and help employees see that Logica is a positive and long-term place to work in the US.
