I worked at Logitech full-time for more than a year

Pros

The businesses they are in are stable but not growing because the growth in the market is to phones and tablets, and those don't take many accessories.

Cons

If you aren't Swiss-French you have no future in the company...and on top of that, the Swiss-French are total idiots. So, be ready for a lot of stupidity working there....they seem to like it that way.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire Swiss French folks only, don't torture the rest of us you nationalistic jerks!

    Some cool products. Just an 'ok' place to work for the bay area. Work/life balance depends on which BU you're in.

    I have been working at Logitech full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good products, generally keeping ahead of the market in most business units (but only just)
    Trying to do agile
    Now in a new building in Newark which is night and day better than the old place
    Reasonable perks - gym, discount on products, free coffee etc..

    Cons

    Mismanagement in recent years, layoffs, senior turnover, uncertainty. New CEO has good fundamentals but doesn't get the tech industry.
    Risk averse management, especially with software investments (admittedly badly burned by the Google TV product).
    Very little long term product vision.
    Way too much done in India, higher risk and less control.
    Weak engineering management resulting in outdated software and infrastructure.
    Ridiculous hours asked of employees in working with India offices. Constant 20 x 7 fire drills
    Useless HR department and terrible medical options (Cigna have the doctors no other providers want)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve core software engineering and product management practices that enable India to function more autonomously.
    Look at getting revenue from software services as well as hardware, particularly in Digital Home and Music BUs otherwise the company will slowly die.

    Pros

    - good products
    - willing to spend on system, softwares

    Cons

    - no vision, no leadership from upper management
    - no accountability
    - focus on scholars hiring instead of real life experience
    - performance is not based on merits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - check out the management's accomplishment - are they really worth retaining? Did you ever question why the recent restructuring wiping out entire departments after all, Logitech spent so much to implement?
    - Hold your management responsible for wasting money on retrenchment (they hired, terminated, then hired another bunch back), and on failed projects (this could be system projects as well)
    - stop hiring & Promoting relatives and friends that have absolutely no merits to the jobs
