Pros
The unique fun, dynamic, and entrepreneurial work environment but which is quickly changing to a more standard multinational corporate setting under the new Sr. Management. Exposure to a wide scope of tasks in your daily job, you develop more general skills in a shorter time frame and career progression is faster than average, again also less true today than a couple of years ago. Still have some fantastic products and super engineers working on the next ones, I cross my fingers that no one will break that.
Cons
Typically less structured work environment and mostly short-term goal oriented. Career progression is faster than average, in some cases leads managers to focus more on their next step up rather than doing the best at their current job. There is a bloated and too inexperienced middle management layer, and need more strong individual contributors in the more junior positions.
Advice to Senior Management
Should take example from early leaders. Build back the unique Logitech spirit and management's strong multiculturalism that made the company's strength for 25 years. New Sr. management seems less hands-on and more disconnected from the realities of the marketplace leading to sometimes miss-aligned objectives and policies. Logitech needs stronger processes and organization, but not at the cost of what made its brand and unique work environment.
