Pros

The people within London Underground are generally very friendly. It is too easy for people to "get lost" within the business though and stay for a long time without needing to contribute much.

Cons

The company is a little backward with processes, technology and mangement techniques. They do seem away of this, which is the first step on the road to improvement.

Advice to Management

The business needs to behave like a money making business rather than a money spending business. The commercial accumen of some reasonably senior staff is shocking!

    Pros

Working for an iconic brand and being able to contribute to the companys vision of being a world class tube for a world class city, the job is highly rewarding and offers very competitive pay and benefits

    Cons

Dealing with agression and verbal abuse would be one of the downsides, the nature of the industry is that it is prone to change as funding has been drastically reduced by UK govt in recent years, so a series of cost cutting initiatives such as Fit For The Future are underway

    Advice to Management

London Underground staff have shown incredible loyalty in the past however be careful how much you change the roles as many may vote with their feet resulting in a loss of valuable experience
