Pros

Company car. Pension plan. Most of the time you work on your own.

Cons

lack of leadership. History of company using employees and then dumping. etc..

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have not seen one Division Manager that is honest. You should put them under the microscope that you put sales representatives. You would be surprised. I am tired of them expecting sales reps to be quite as we cover for them to regional managers. Yes he worked with me... right. Sales reps only have one line of communication. So you better lie for them.

Current Employee - Middle Management in Greensboro, NC

    Pros

Historically generous salary and benefits. No lay-offs in the past, Lean company that can make decisions quickly when prudent. Not a lot of red tape.

    Cons

Pending acquisition by RAI and transfer of employees and facilities to Imperial Tobacco. Uncertainty for some employees which company they will work for after acquisition is complete and what salary/benefits will be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to communicate and consider a retention bonus - very talented and skilled employees are likely to leave due to uncertainty for future salary and benefits.
