    Pros

The benefits are amazing. No monthly health insurance premiums (if union member). As an analyst, the work is challenging enough to keep you busy and learning, but not as stressful as the private sector based on my experience.

    Cons

Huge bureacracy so it may be difficult to advance, but I believe if you put in the time and work hard you can advance.

    Advice to Management

Management has been very fair and personable in the division I work. Continue to keep employees advised of updates thru the employee website and newsletters.

  2. Most people are nice and friendly

    Pros

Great Health and Life Insurance Benefit. Sometimes, work schedule are fixable if you needed.

    Cons

Difficult to advance your career. Need to constantly look at LAUSD's job listing for opening and taking test to get a better position.
