I have been working at Louisiana Tech University

Pros

good work/life balance
not super busy
people are friendly

Cons

small town, no fun
no clear development path
research funding is too limited
school asks ph.d students to pay tuitions? More than half of the monthly assistantship is gone as tuitions. The rest goes for renting a place to live. I'm wondering where should I get money for breakfast?

Advice to ManagementAdvice

a university like this could become better, we need more talent people.
