    Pros

    Great place to learn about home improvement and home improvement products
    Great to learn customer service

    Cons

    Horrible benefits especially for part-time, pay was low, have to wait 6 months before moving departments, corrupt and unprofessional management. They treat you like youre stupid, inferior, and a joke. Even if you try to offer advice or share an opinion they never take it into consideration. Open door policy is a joke. They dont solve problems well, you're treated like a child. A lot of gossiping, they dont care about how good of a job you do they only care about how much you can suck up to them. If they dont like you theyll make sure you dont succeed even if youre one of the better workers. They nitpick over small stuff and never acknowledge the big issues. Its like they live in an alternate reality to the real business world of today. They don't understand what good customer service is, how to treat employees, or how to run a successful business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Educate yourselves on professionalism, business management skills the good and the bad, problem solving, sociology, human interactions, perceptions, ect. Practice what you preach, put the company ahead of friendships and loyalty with fellow employees who have been around a long time, if theyre causing problems then discipline them dont punish the wrong person, assumptions are not facts, find the facts first and deal accordingly, and most importantly learn that the only bias should be on behalf of the company, not your own personal beliefs. So learn to have and keep an open mind.

    Never asume people know everything they are suspose to. Continue to assist employees when ever they are doing a task for the very first time even if you are busy.
