I have been working at Lowe's

Pros

Great company benefits, time off, and freedom to operate and grow your/Lowe's business. Working conditions/climate are great. Overall I would say that I am pleased with my location.

Cons

Great company but not for the timid and weak. You must resist the Jr. H.S. mentality applied by most god-fearing, child-baring, jealous, (yet stable) whining older adults.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Limit the favoritism in the long run it rarely turns out for the best. Performance, knowledge, and communication should always lead to advancement. The coffee runs, associate luncheons and
laundry pick up does not amount to any company growth if your friend can not perform.

    I worked at Lowe's

    Pros

The pay is very good, especially for those that are working part-time while attending school.
Ability to be flexible with schedule.
Some ability to move around the store (various positions).

    Cons

Management could be significantly better, however this would depend on the location you work at.
Not a lot of responsibility is given to those that are not managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow those that are not managers or team-leaders to get more work done.
Try not to use the hierarchical approach as often, if there is an issue talk to someone directly rather than pass it on from one manager to another.
