I have been working at Lowe's

    Pros

You can have a flexible schedule to fit your needs if you need a part time job. Management are understanding and diligent with addressing issues. It's a big company so you get to meet many great people. It's a rewarding experience to be able to help so many customers with their needs every day. Pay is better at Lowes than at many other retail and sales employers.

    Cons

Certain job positions, such as cashier, may be very monotonous. For many people, the positions offered will not be satisfying or rewarding as careers. Many of the job requirements and responsibilities make you feel like you're treated as a child. For example, you need to ask permission to step away to use the restroom. You will be asked to sweep and take out trash, etc. Also, you are on your feet all day long, on a concrete floor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat every employee with respect. Offer encouragement to employees to do well and reinforce good behavior to increase its likelihood of happening again! Treat everyone fairly and with compassion.
