  1. This company is terrible. If I had a choice I would seek employment somewhere else.

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement, thank you for paying for my ticket out of this hostile corporation
The job itself could be easy if we were given the tools to do it
    Getting money every two weeks

    Cons

unreachable and unclear goals and expectations
Joke of a computer system, it is HORRIBLE
Corporate is way out of touch with the base stores
They continue to launch all this "feel good" crap, but I don't want to hear about it. I want new computer systems,so the customer does not have to wait 30-45 minutes to spend thousands of dollars while the computer crashes yet again for the tenth time in one day. It is so frustrating to be so ill equipped to do my job.

    Advice to Management

Spend a couple weeks in a store out of your comfort zone and realize the horrible policies you implement are unachievable

  2. Great at the start, dreadful toward the end.

    Pros

Fellow associates/cashiers are like your family away from home.
    Lots of busywork.
You do tend to develop a relationship with regular customers.
    Wonderful department managers.

    Cons

No advancement. If you're hired on as a cashier, they will try to keep you there and not let you go to a department. And even if you make it to a department, they will yank you out to man a register. Doesn't matter if you're the only person in said department, you're on a register.
Senior management does not care. At all.
Zone managers don't pay attention to what the department manager wants done. They have their own list of stuff, and then the associate gets in trouble for not doing what their department manager wanted.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees with respect, and don't set unattainable goals. Hire more HR managers that understand and care about the employees, and don't scare away the ones that do care. Stop treating hard-working employees that don't fit in your little social cliques like dirt.
