Current Employee – been working at Lowe's part-time for more than a year

Pros – They offer benefits to all employees, including part timers, from day one. The part time benefits are not as good as the benefits offered to full time employees but they are still helpful to my family. They offer medical, dental, vision among other things. The people at my location have been great to work with both with management and floor staff but I've heard that location work atmospheres vary greatly. The company sets goals for stores and compensate all the employees when these reasonable goals are met.

Cons – It's difficult to become full time, and there is a lot of competition for promotions making it difficult to move up at times. The pay is typical retail, a bit difficult to live on. The hours can hop all over the clock if you don't lay out specific availability time.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
