When you want more hours, you'll get less. and vise versa. Tough sometimes with school.

Advice to Management

Sometimes, as a head cashier, i am forced to agree with verbal markdowns not approved by management, lets make sure people know not to authorize large markdowns without management.

I have been working at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love working with the public and you do get plenty of that at Lowe's. It's a fairly steady job with room for advancement, if that's what you want. They do post openings and consider current employees, when qualified. They do offer a part-time health insurance plan, though I personally don't think it's worth the $$.

    Cons

The schedule is not consistent, so it's difficult to plan very far ahead. There is a lot of favoritism, though that's fairly prevalent in large corporations.

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye on nepotism - which not only includes family, but friends.
