The customers are my lifeline, I enjoy them.

Cons

They could care less if you're older, wiser and more experienced.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management too busy to care about it's employees, they advance friends only.

    I have been working at Lowe's

    Pros

    Decent Pay...
    Some Flexability for schedules.
    Great Bonus Potential
    If in operations, great advancement opportunity.
    Eligible for vacation pay after six months of employment.
    Great 401K program.

    Cons

    Long, long, long hours.
    VERY VERY High pressure with lots of threats.
    Doing same sale volume with less people creating larger work loads but that's the same every place right now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be sure to provide honest positive and negative feedback. People can't improve if they don't know there is an issue. Do more for the hourly associates. they bust there butts and get so little in return such as pizza parties, company picnics. Can't celebrate Christmas in the stores as a team but yet corporate gets big Christmas parties at their office.

    -Communication or lack there of in specific locations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Management should make sure that all tasks that are given to the associates are "SMART" goal oriented. This will assist with the lack of communiacation or mixed messages that are passed between senior level and the sales floor. Manager must maintain there professionalism and treat all employee as equals.
