Pros

Great company! If you do the right things lots of room to advance. Good benefits and good people!! Would love to work for them again.

Cons

The politics. Hours suck!! As Store management you have no life!

I have been working at Lowe's full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Diverse work environment, great place to learn different jobs, stable company for those who are willing to work. Pay is very competitive and is a main reason to stay on once hired.

    Cons

Retail schedule is always a con. Varying commitment levels from coworkers and peers. Team environment is a goal but is not always upheld.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to work on being part of the solution to problems instead of always looking for problems and someone to blame for them. Really need to refocus on supporting the team instead of trying to look good to superiors.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many other employees are very willing to help. Constant training provided which they pay you to do. Safety if enforced. Several power equipment options to get the job done quickly and safely. Pay is fair for a sales specialist.

    Cons

You need to be available from 1/2 hour before the store opens to minimum of 1/2 hour after the store closes. They are quite strict on keeping track of your hours and not exceeding 39.9 hours since they do not like to pay overtime (except rare circumstances). Lack of staff makes you run around covering other departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communicate more/better
