I worked at Lowe's full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

friendly atmosphere, great co-workers (lower management), cool team meetings, dynamic atmosphere.

Cons

no promotion from within, poor pay for most positions, managers are abusive/power hungry, HR is laughable and everyone's worst enemy, When you need to call out sick you get interrogated and made to feel even worse.....somehow the company cant find the money to stop using DOS, throw an accident free party when it is due, or invest in working technology (iphone garbage)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

promote from within.....seriously.....

I have been working at Lowe's part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Very good pay

    Moderately competent management

Customers are easier to work with than at Walmart

    Cons

Advancement is based on politics in which the only people who know about a new job being posted are the two or three that are hand picked by those in charge to apply for it. If none of those people accept, then someone from outside will be hired.
