I worked at Loyola Marymount University part-time

Pros

Wonderful environment, the students are good to be around and keep the place from becoming mundane. Also happens to be really pretty.

Cons

Dealing with some of the politics between departments can be tiresome as each is a separate entity and only responds to people of higher authority.

Best interest of some students takes a backseat to college politics and outdated teaching philosophies.

    Pros

Beautiful location to work out, can't go wrong with the view. Great job with student and teacher diversity. Class sizes not too large, making the teaching process more effective.

    Cons

Unfortunately with regards to some of the colleges there, the students are not being given the best education opportunities possible for the money they (their parents) pay. Material and teaching methodologies must be updates with the changes in technologies and trends. The schools of Communications and Film are the worst offenders at this. Makes the job of a teacher that much harder.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to all teachers, not just tenured professors. Heck even listen to suggestions from students, they are in the end your customers.

    No opinion of CEO
