I have been working at Lucas Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Freedom to apply one's self and derive return on objective. Commission compensation is higher than other recruting firms and the company's network of recruiters are very professional. The average length of time with the company for the people I met ranges from 4 to 7 years which says a lot in a pure commission work environment.

    Cons

Prospective clients are conditioned to expect more for less due to the cut throat fee slashing practices of other recruiters during the Great Recession of 2008-20012. Its now a "candidate's market" and employers are being reluctant to engage professional firms to help them secure talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Suggest marketing and advertising more nationwide to current and potential clients. Recommend operating promotional campaigns to protect loyal hiring managers, stimulate referrals, allow "trial" of our recruitment services for prospective new accounts.

I worked at Lucas Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The Irvine office is a great place to work. Most of the recruiters have been there 10+ years... It's great for new recruiters, because they get to learn from experienced recruiters. The Senior Managing Partner is a great leader and teacher.... His door is always open if you need advice or help! At Lucas Group, you are given everything you need to be successful, but it is up to you to apply yourself. There's unlimited earning potential if you are hungry and motivated. Great training for new people.

    Cons

Pay could be better, but that's probably true anywhere you go :) Benefits could be better, too!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire the right people faster and get rid of the bad apples! More incentives for good work
