Pros

The people where great, a work day consisted of three different shifts, paid holidays, benefits and quearterly bonuses.

Cons

Too much negative criticism given to dependable hard workers and not enough to slackers who didn't care about their performance or quality of work.

Advice to Management

Give more positive reinforcement to your hard, dedicated workers who have good work ethics and enforce the rules on the ones who don't care about the job.

    Pros

    It can be a place to work for life. Many people have 15+ years of experience and have no plans of leaving.

    Cons

    People are entrenched and process haven't changed. There is no incentive as everyone is rewarded the same regardless of effort, which hinders motivatation. There are people that refuse to share knowledge because it gives them power and management is too afraid of uncertainty to do anything about it.

    Advice to Management

    If someone who is entrenched and is not moving the company forward threatens to quit or dangles another job offer, solely to get promoted, do not offer them a promotion and raise. The good people who are trying to make the company a better place will leave, and the company itself will stagnate.
