I have been working at MB Financial full-time (more than an year)

Pros

good start for entry level banking, benefits are not the perfect but o.k You can get promotions if you are selling alot.

Cons

I would not stay here for a long time like some other people who are averages 10 years of being personal banker. The pay is very low, i can say they probably pay 30% lower than industry

Advice to ManagementAdvice

if you want to keep good employees, you should reconsider compensations, in compared to industry good people are working because of this. It would be alot more cheaper to increase compensation then rehiring new people with having high turnover.

    Pros

I was promoted early on within department.

    Cons

I was offered a positon in another department and department manager refused to sign off on it. Co-workers were not the friendliest or most helpful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be a bit more flexible in advancement opportunities firmwide. Recognize true talent when it presents itself. A person with education and experience should be considered as a value-adding.
