I worked at MFS full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and generous bonuses. 35 Hour work week, excellent DCP plan and employees appreciation activities in the Service Center.

    Cons

Employees need to be empowered to make decisions. Decision making is from top down, not a lot of opportunity to advance in your career. More training programs are needed to keep employees engaged.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees are your greatest assets.

Former Employee - Client Service Representative in North Quincy, MA

I worked at MFS full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good Introduction to the corporate world.
    Supportive Management.
Decent Salary for a fresh college graduate (over $30,000)

    Cons

Brutal Day- listening to complaining shareholders/brokers.
Very confusing to someone who's never worked an office job- the protocols, meetings, etc.
They keep you in the building when the fire alarm goes off.
The client service aspect requires an inflexible schedule- very few days off, even for major holidays, since when the stock market opens MFS phone lines need to be open (even during storms)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More practice calls.
Don't make exceptions for certain callers that supersede the client service representative

    Doesn't Recommend
