I worked at MGM Resorts International

Pros

They have a really great employee dining option where you get one free meal every shift that you are working.

Cons

The upper management really does not know how to operate in a down economy. All of the people there have run companies in up times, have no idea how to manage correctly to the bottom line in down times.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start looking around for people who really know how to make money in the gaming industry without just spending money

    Pros

MGM Mirage is a stable company offering good benefits and stability. There is opportunity for unilateral or slow advancement. For someone who is willing to go through all the corporate red tape and jump through hoops you have the ability to possibly make it to an upper management/executive level.

    Cons

Too much corporate legalities --- makes for an inefficient work environment. They have way to many meetings without implementing any change. It's like spinning your wheels most time --- I think they like to keep a lot of the problems so certain people can keep their jobs and say theres a problem that needs to be resolved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actually use the information from meetings to implement change

    Doesn't Recommend
